The History of Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 in Vinci, Italy. He later on died on May 2, 1519 in Amboise, France.His primary type of artwork is drawing, sculpture, and painting. The material he used were oils, pigment, and bristle brushes. The period of art he was from was the High Renaissance time. The High Renaissance is the period of visual art in Italy and it a period traditionally taken to begin in the 1490s.
Leonardo da Vinci wasn’t just a good artist he was an inventor, scientist, engineer, writer,etc. He also became an expert in the anatomy of the human body. Leonardo da Vinci was the first to explain why the sky is blue. In the painting Mona Lisa it was a theory that her smile meant she was pregnant. There were many great artist in the High Renaissance period including Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Titian. They were all born in Italy and part of the High Renaissance period.They all uses the same can of texture and styles. There painting resemble something, and it conveys a message.
