Music Advertisement Analysis

The two advertisements that I picked were, the Bose Noise canceling Headphones which had the young boy being very loud on the left and then gradually getting quieter as it moved to the right until he was asleep on the floor. I chose these two advertisements for two different reasons. The first advertisement that I chose was the Loud Music advertisement, I chose this because as I was looking through the pictures it was the first one to catch my attention and I had to click on it. The Bose Noise Canceling Headphones was the second advertisement that I chose, I picked this one because I have always been a fan of high quality stereo, and Bose is well known for making really good audio headphones and home theater systems. The Bose Noise Canceling Headphone advertisement uses pathos by showing you a picture of a young kid being very loud on the left, which is something that almost everyone can relate to, then on the right side of the picture it shows the kid laying down sleeping almost like saying even though a sound can be this loud (the kid on the left) it seems as if it is not even there (the kid on the right) when you wear their headphones. The picture also has stages of the kid gradually getting quieter as if they are saying, although you can buy other noise canceling headphone ours cancels out the most noise by showing you the different levels of how much noise that you can hear. The Loud Music advertisement also uses pathos by showing the girl about to have a drill go through her ear simulating what type of damage that listening to music to loud can do to your hearing. There's also some interesting about the girl in the picture, she looks like the type of girl that would listen to metal music which is usually associated with being very loud. So in conclusion, both of these advertisement are effective in getting their point across to their audience even though they don't use both of the same rhetorical appeals to persuade their audience.
