Living with the Bolenders was the most stable part of her childhood. She felt loved and started to build a close relationship with her foster brothers and sisters. However, living with the Bolenders didn't work out perfectly, and Marilyn had to move to different foster homes. From a young age, Marilyn showed she was talented, kind, and really wanted to be an actress and a model. When she was a teenager, she decided to follow her dream of acting. She started to learn everything she could from books and movies. During this time, she went back to live with her mother, Gladys Baker, because Ida, her foster mom, thought it was best for them to be together and reunite.
