My Leadership Philosophy

Today I am reflecting on what I have learned about myself in terms of developing leadership skills. I have learned to take the initiative when I am in a group project. I have plenty of ideas that I would want to share with everybody but I would also give everybody the chance to input their ideas also. I learned that I have the ability to start a business from the bottom but I will have to take in consideration of all the important details of building a business. I learned that I have the capabilities to help people who are in need of help without looking for anything in return and that is one thing that I love about myself. I have friends that love talking to me because I let them say whatever is on their mind and I try to give them best advice on what the situation may be. My weakness would be trying to help everybody when I know that I can’t at this point in my life. Maybe in the future I can open up a center for people who need help but doing it right now would be a lot of pressure and I would not know how to handle it. The leadership philosophy that I learned in this class would be that I have the ability to inspire others by having good character, consistency and collaboration. Those 3 components are some of the important factors for me to have to be a leader and lead others in the right direction. If I do not have good character then nobody is going to take me serious and I will be a disappointment to others and I do not want that to happen. Everywhere that I go I make sure that I have good character skills because I never know who may be watching me from a distance.
