Nursing is My Passion I choose nursing as a profession because nursing is a promising career. It is very high in demand, so there will a lot of job availability. Another aspect of nursing I like is that this career provides the options to work in a variety of different setting including hospitals, clinics and private offices. And if any time in my life I decide to change from working with a pediatrician to gynecologist, I can easily transition. Black, Beth in Professional nursing Concept and Challenges book gives hope to new nurses who want to work other places than hospital by saying that healthcare is changing constantly and allowing nurses to work in new territories and in places that were not possible before like in community, armed services palliative care etc. (Chapter 1). I also chose Nursing profession because it provides the space to progress. I have that freedom to choose if I want to continue from BSN to MSN to DNP. I can stop at BSN or continue to DNP . For example, nursing career is similar to waiting on a stop light. I have the option to turn left or right on the stop light and switch from working in a hospital setting to a clinic. Understanding that someone life is in your hand, so need to be at your best. It includes communicating effectively with your patient and the other health care provider to promote a healthy environment. It is a collaborative effort to provide the highest quality of working environment. By sharing our common knowledge and introducing new ideas or methods, we can improve the quality of nursing..
