Tomorrow I will yet again have the opportunity to change peoples' lives. I will be doing something I had never believed I would be able to do: acting as the main teacher in my preschool classroom. In the school I work in, becoming the main teacher takes years of hard work and experience. While my recieving of this job may have been a fluke, my success in this instance gives me the confidence to face the unknown in the future. When I began my job as preschool assistant, I was pleasantly surprised at the extent that I enjoyed the position. I have always enjoyed working with kids, yet never envisioned myself working in a school enviroment, even temporarily. As a creative person, I always strive to use my talents to help make things run more smoothly. I therefore quickly began implementing ways to add more creativity* to the lessons, decrease inneficiently used time, and to overall bring a in a positive classroom experience. Yet despite my passion for the work I was doing, I had doubted my abilities to ever be able to successfully perform as the main teacher in the classroom. The news came suddenly. The teacher I work with discovered she had a form of ovarian cancer, and became frequently absent due to the myriad of appointments and tests she was forced to undergo. With time, however, I was able to learn from my mistakes, and was eventually able to run the class smoothly, implementing my own methodoligies and creative spins on how I had seen the class being run before. Early childhood is the formative years of ones' life, and every daythat I teach I am determined to make the most of bringing out each one of my students limitless potential.
