Everybody faces trials trying to fulfill their goals however overcoming the trials we face is similar to a hero’s journey. In the odyssey, Odysseus’s ambition is to finally go home to be with his wife and son in Ithaca. The obstacles Odysseus’s faces are overcome by his excellence in physical, emotional and intellectual characteristics. My goal in high school was to graduate in the top ten percent of my class. We all want to accomplish our goals especially since we work endlessly to achieve them by emotional and intellectual attributions.
Odysseus never waiver from his goal to be with his family even at his lowest point he long for them. The goddess Calypso offered him immortality to stay with her but Odysseus was focused on his family. In

Dyslexia influences my reading and writing abilities made advance placement English horrendous for me. I have always been self-conscious of my writing but in class we had peer review which brought on feeling of embarrassment, fear, shame to let anybody read my writing. The worst was the anxiety, my thoughts and ideas where not convey because of my misspelling and grammar overall it was difficult to read my essay. My insecurities were causing my grade to slip and I wanted to give up. I have never reached the point of giving up any subjects because I was unsure of my abilities. My school system work in ranking system for honor was that every advance placement was weighted more. A minor blip in your grade can upset the balance up till that point I have manage to keep my grade C. Voicing my concerns to my best friend Susana she responded by doing hard work and practicing I can make it. Taking her advice to heart I did grammar worksheets, taking my time to read to catch error, and having Susana review my writing. Pacing myself I slowly got use to writing therefore I passed the remaining writing assignments. In the end of the school year, I pass my English with an A. The day of graduation I wanted to cry I accomplish something that I thought I could not do with dyslexia I graduated with honor. Even with my insecurities with my dyslexia I earned high overall academic average
