A clinical psychologist, named Michael Ryan who specializes in Dyslexia and ADHD, founded Dyslexiadx.com. This website is about getting the answers you need for dyslexia. On the home page of this website, there are two kids reading a book, one kid is holding the book upside down. Around these kids, there are different links to take you to the different tabs. The tabs on the picture include dyslexia help, FAQ’s, who am I, and Evaluations just to name a few. When you click on the link dyslexia help, you are taken to a fuller version of the sight. It has links for dyslexics, help for parents, and a celebrity spotlight, Keanu Reeves. This website also gives contact information for Dr. Ryan, who founded the site. This website offers an article called How Families Cope With Their Dyslexic Child by Gayle Zeiman, Ph.D. In this article, it states that students with dyslexia might not feel as smart or as good as their siblings and the student could feel rejected if the parents don’t understand what is going on. This article also makes a point to state that if the child is supported but not given attention because of the disability the child is more likely to become independent and a normal adolescent (Zeiman). This article also talks about independent living as one of the most important things a parent with a disabled child can teach
