“Porter County only had 635 acres of crops harvested in 2007.”
This statistic shows that there was not a lot of crops that were harvested, and that is bad because it means, organic food will cost more than processed food. Processed food will be some people’s only option for food, as processed food can be made from almost anything, therefore will end out being less expensive.

Most foods that are organic are sold less as other genetic modifying adds flavor, processed foods have more intense flavors, but are caused by the chemicals in them.
Supermarkets just want to get you to buy something, so they could just be lying to get you to purchase items from them.
Discussion and Conclusion:
Supermarkets, fast food restaurants, and other food producing markets, do not want you to know the truth about what you are eating and want you to eat the unhealthier items as they cost less for them to get. Most places that supply food do not care about the consumer’s health as it does not affect their business. Usually the organic food costs more because it isn’t just made in a factory and therefore is a limited amount. Processed foods however can be made almost instantaneously and therefore do not cost a lot to make. Another benefit to the companies making processed foods are that they can be made in “batches” of dozens to even hundreds. There are too many food-processing factories across the state that own a lot of land, causing them to be able to obtain more and more food to process. Processed food is even worse because, just 50 grams of it daily increases your chance of colorectal cancer by about 20%.
