In Paulo Freire's "The 'Banking' Concept of Education," Freire brings up the issue of education not being about students learning how to think critically but instead being taught to serve an entity. Students are molded into “servants” and given the information they need to fall into a system of “oppression.” students can either take in what the teacher is telling them or fail and be punished. Students are not taught that they possess the power to shape the world they live in. On the day after the United States presidential election I came into school very happy, But I could not show this. Problem posing education is a system where listening, dialogue, and action are the main focus. Its seen as active learning where the student partake in their learning instead of memorizing Arbitrary information. When students are required to actually apply knowledge and personal experiences education pain and understand Concepts learned in class. His plan isn't without its own inherent flaws when trying to educate a world of 7.5 billion, or even the population of the United States (323.1 million). The existing education system was put in place to standardize teaching and take the burden off of teachers. Teachers are able to treat classes as a whole instead of each individual student's learning needs. Which make the job easier for the teacher and the state having to teach everyone at the same pace and having people entering the workforce with the same knowledge as their peers, but this puts a lot of burden and hardship on students who excel in topics and students who cannot fully grasp concepts taught to them. The student who excels will never be able to reach their true potential and the student who struggles will be left behind and labeled as dumb, uneducated, or just plain lazy. The students left behind will fall into the system of oppression while the students that excel will be put into frivolous jobs never unlocking what they are really capable of. But who is to really blame? The teachers have to teach what they are told to stay employed, the students must learn what they don't necessarily care about to succeed in life, the government must find a way to educate millions of students every year. The question of education is a tough one indeed but students are the leaders of tomorrow and have to power to
