Did you know professional lacrosse players only make about $10,000-$25,000 a year? I already knew that professional lacrosse players didn't make a lot of money and couldn't make a living off of playing, but I didn't know how they made a living off of that salary, and that's what I wanted to know.

I thought about what topic I should research and finally came up with how professional lacrosse players make a living. Later on I realized I wasn't really researching the right topic so decided to change my research to more of the history of lacrosse. I learned a lot about professional lacrosse and just the sport in general.

Professional lacrosse players get paid around $10,000-25,000 a year. This is why most lacrosse players work 9-5 jobs. It is very hard to make it into the MLL or NLL you need a lot of skills, you need to take risks, you need to be passionate, and you need to be good with marketing. There used to be a local professional lacrosse team called the swarm which was an NLL team. The difference between the NLL and the MLL is where they play and what they wear. In the NLL they play on a turfed hockey rink with hockey helmets, shoulder pads, gloves, and elbow pads. An NLL goalie wears a lot of bulky and protecting pads while in the MLL they only wear a chest protector and a helmet. In the MLL they play on a football field with the goal a little in front of the goal line. Around the world lacrosse is growing rapidly and could one day be as big as soccer. A lot of people love watching and playing the sport which means people will make an effort to help grow the sport. Lacrosse is usually known as a rich kid preppy sport so it's not played as much in different “third world” countries as much as it is in
