I first started thinking about college seriously two years ago. Last year was when I first heard about your college, Dallas Baptist University. It sounded too good to be true. A college close to my home, I could drive home every other weekend. You have good programs and degrees based off of my career interests.
The University of Miami offers many selective majors and minors for students. I am eager to start a new chapter and gain many opportunities, and experiences with a high-level education from the University of Miami. The reason I want to transfer to the University is because it’s time for me to move on to a bigger environment. Furthermore, I would like to participate in the most honorable athletic programs in the country. I believe the culture at Miami would be a good fit for me because of the diverse student body on campus.
I am truly grateful for my experiences at Rutgers. Not only have I been able to meet and build close relationships with a variety of people from different backgrounds, but I also met people from my own background which I don’t often do. I think what amazes me the most is how much I can relate to my friends who are of a different background than me. It is great feeling being able to relate to one another through personal experiences despite the difference in how we were raised up and our practices at home. However, what I appreciate the most is those very differences in our cultures because it great opportunity for me and a friend to learn from one another.
Next year at Embry-Riddle I plan start studying Cyber Intelligence and Security. Ever since middle school I knew I had a developing interest in the field of computer science and spent most of my time building the skills to excel in my classes. One of the first projects I got to use the computer on was a video for the Oregon Trail. I decided that it would be best to design an advertisement to showcase the facts in a new and creative way. When my group turned the project in, and it was shown to the class my teacher rewrote the assignment according to what we did and used it as an example of great work when recruiting new people.
“Always driving around like idiots, tryna’ prove how macho they are… And they wonder why they get shot at.” This is what I have the pleasure of listening to when driving with my father. He spews venom towards every dark-skinned driver who runs a red light or changes lanes at the last minute, frequenting phrases like “gangsters” and “thugs.” In the passenger seat my mother chews her lip, never summoning the courage to silence him.
As a future student of Florida State University, I have worked hard to become the best student I can be to better your community. I have learned to take hardships and turn them into positive fuel to reach my dreams. I have learned how to take loss and turn it into a gain. I was taught these skills by surviving a tough childhood. When my brother passed away I learned, at the age of five, that life can be unfair.
My first encounter with George Washington University was last Halloween. Coincidentally, I had the opportunity to visit the campus and speak to some students. I was amused by its beauty, the amount of history behind and its strategic proximity to the nation’s utmost iconic buildings and how proud and enthusiastic the students were when talking in regards to their school. Inspired by this experience, I wanted to be part of this community and decided to apply. I came to be familiar with Physician Assistants during one of my grandmother’s total knee replacement.
As Theodore Roosevelt said, "Nothing Worth Having Was Ever Achieved Without Effort" It is true that nothing comes easy and nothing is for free. My experience at college proves the truth of this quote. My experience as a freshman at Kingsborough Community College was very challenging. In the beginning, it was hard to adapt to the college environment which I had to give up on things I enjoyed, watching movies, hanging out with friends, sleeping 12 hours per day. I said to myself that I must get good grades and reach my goals.
The future is one of the most intimidating thoughts a senior in high school has, and it should be. The decisions an individual will make as a high school senior will have an everlasting effect on their future. It is a huge decision to decide where to go to college, or more importantly, what major out of hundreds to pursue. This is a difficult task and many people struggle with it. It is important to pursue what makes you happy, and I believe I have it figured out.
As soon as I stepped onto the campus of UNC Wilmington, I fell in love. I love the school, the town, the people, and the nursing program. The town reminded me of where I had grown up, giving me a sence of saftey and of being at home. I knew then I could spend the next four years of my life there. Upon arriving I was greeted with warm smiles from the friendly students on campus.
In the next semester, I was a final year student majoring in chemical engineering. I need a residential college because I will often use a chemical laboratory following the course taken, namely undergraduate research project (PSM) 2. If I do not get a place in a residential college, it will be difficult for me to complete my research project. In addition, I also did not have any vehicle to ply soon. The cost of living will increase if I did not get a college residence as having to pay the cost of rental housing, round-trip bus fare and a variety lagi.bagi I am a student who relies entirely on money PTPTN
My experiences at Gonzaga University thus far have gone above and beyond my expectations. Though, my decision to attend Gonzaga was not an easy. I’m a first generation college student and going to college seemed like a long shot. Fortunately, I was blessed with supportive parents that have pushed me to do my best in academics and community service. When it was time to apply for college, my parents agreed it would be a waste to let all my hard work go to waste so I applied to nursing school and took out a ridiculous amount of student loans.
There is no doubt that the key to success is hard work, dedication and determination towards our goals whether we win or lose. As a sophomore in the university, I am strongly committed to giving my best whatever I do so that I can make my own unique contribution to our hectic but extraordinarily exciting city, and I have spent my school years building a firm foundation to pursue such. To reach my goal, I have devoted the time and energy necessary for academic accomplishment, and persistently made progress toward earning a degree with outstanding academic performance. In my first year of study, I have a 3.8 grade-point average and have been awarded the Dean’s List.
The foundational effect of my initial educational experience starting in the New Orleans public school system. A brief summary of life experiences between high school and attending ACC, and the impact they left on my life. The revelation of the results of my academic strengths and weaknesses from the several assessment test taken during this past semester. Finally I will expand on my self-change contract and expand on goals
My first experience with a school outside of the post was in Oklahoma. I was in the sixth grade. We had arrived at the end of the school year and the kids were all ready to be out for the summer break. My mom enrolled me in my new school anyway, about two weeks before summer vacation. I had wanted to go after summer but had to go before the vacation began, an awkward time for sure.
