Jim was very frank about his answers, he said that it was a matter of convince in his eyes. He said that he originally got a low-level front-end job, taking orders and placing them, mostly service desk work. Eventually over time higher positions would open like floor manager, shift manager,
”Open up register 2!” My manager always found a way to ruin my day. Winn Dixie was the first place I worked. I began working their when I was 16. I started working there on June.
Over the years it has affected me in many ways, such as, little free time, my hands freeze easily, it has taught me responsibility which developed a good work ethic, and I have learned how to work with people. I spend a majority of my time doing work for the store,
This experience has been different from my job experience since I have learned how to follow directions from the supervisor while helping the students with various activities. Many of the activities included homeworks, art, computers, and games. Another community service that has build up on my experience has been the North Salinas High School Migrant Program. Being a volunteer in the migrant program gave me a closer experience on working with parents and children from a migrant
Who would check out the customers if it wasn’t for cashiers? The managers are like the leaders of a big army stretching over 100,000 square feet. One by one each and every associate means something to the company from the trash man to the
The main goal of GFS is to serve our customers with the highest quality foodservice products and services. This is a goal that the entire company abides by and works every day to achieve. At my specific location, our main goal is to work quickly and proficiently, while maintaining quality customer service. We accomplish our goal each day by coming to work prepared, always having a body on the floor, communicating with our team members, talking to our customers, and having constant encouragement throughout the shift. The main goal for the associates is to work as a team and support each other whenever help is needed.

Decision Making/Problem Solving- As assistant manager of a retail store, I had a situation where a decision needed to be made regarding the fact that the products in the storage room were not being put onto the shelves before the next truck full of products would arrive, due to the lack of organization in the storage room. My task was to evaluate the problem & find a way to effectively get the back storage room organized. The action I took was assigning designated areas for each group of products in the storage room. When unloading the truck, the result was that products were to be immediately placed in their specific group, instead of being stacked in random piles & employees were able to stock & locate the products much more quickly & the storage room was depleted before the next truck.
I believe my practical experience and what I’ve learned during my six years as a dental assistant at Plainview Oral sets me apart from other students. Not only for the dental skills that I have acquired, but also for the kindness and care that I have demonstrated, when working with patients in real life situations. Many patients have thanked me for my professional bedside manner both before, during, and after surgery. I also assisted patients with disabilities, and was able to exhibit a patient and positive attitude when working with them. Hands-on skills such as taking impressions, radiographs, and making night guards will help me thrive in dental school.

My job was to make sure that all the tables are clean, all the table have enough tissues, the juices machines are filled with juices, dessert area is full of cakes, cookies and ice-cream. This is the most difficult job in the dining hall and all my coworkers and I hate it. We have to keep on roaming for 5 hours straight even if there is nobody in the dining hall because we aren’t getting paid to sit. We are supposed to stand and be
If you work in the service industry you must smile and act like you enjoy every aspect of your job. If you’re a women then you also have to go that extra mile to convince yourself just as much as the public that you’re overjoyed to be doing your job. Then not only must you deal with the stress of trying to make sure everyone is happy, you must deal with the customers smirk and inappropriate comments along with management’s high expectations. You do this with little to no compensation economically, and instead compensated with something to put on a resume that states you’re capable of working with poor conditions. Without seeming like you’re having the time of your life in these jobs, you’re ruining your chances of a tip and in some places risking your job.
