Ever since the age seven, I always felt passionate toward physicians. Everything a physician does is inspiring and meant to help others. As a kid, I was always asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” This was never a difficult question for me to answer. Within seconds, I exclaimed, “A doctor!” After I began high school and became involved in health-related activities (blood drives, CPR, First-Aid training), I grew even more passionate about it. During volunteer opportunities I was able to work with children a lot. This was when I made the decision that pediatrics was the specialty I was most interested in. Seeing the children’s faces light up contributed to my happiness and mood each day. Specifically, my goals toward my education will include: Obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Psychology Science, Take the MCAT exam, Apply to medical school, Attend medical …show more content…

For example, I will be a first generation college graduate. I would love to accomplish my childhood and lifelong goal. Additionally, I want to ensure that myself, family, friends, and future children are proud of who I’ve become. Another example is the joy and happiness of helping others. Some benefits may include job security, happiness, financially stable, income, and knowledgeable. Most people assume that this goal is beyond reachable; however, that’s not the case. To obtain a medical degree in pediatrics, I have to have the necessary training. This includes finding pre-requisite courses for medical schools, and the required courses to obtain the bachelor degree of choice. For example, most medical schools require knowledge of biology and chemistry to be applicable to their school. Speaking to individual advisors throughout college will also ensure that a goal and schedule is set. Studying for the MCAT exam and obtaining a well-balanced GPA during college is preferred for medical
