McDonough School of Business is absolutely attractive to me for its vibrant location--the center of Washington DC. Even though most people consider New York as the economic center in the United States, I believe Washington will bring me more of a benefit during college. Studying in Georgetown, I can access courses like political economy which contained both the core skill of business and public policy in the international market to let me study at the intersection of politics and business. Also, there are plenty of famous companies located near McDonough. The close proximity to potential internships of practical studies will allow me to supplement my knowledge from classrooms with actual learning. In McDonough, its political background can be combined with business effectively to fit my interest for further discovery. What attracts me most is the Global Business Initiative, which ensures Georgetown's determined mission to provide students unparalleled access to business education on a global scale. Studying business in McDonough, I can experience the education not limited on campus, but in a worldwide range, because there is no border in business market; for instance, I am interested in enriching my academic experience in the global business program in Hong Kong or Oxford. McDonough puts a great emphasis on the worldwide study, which I believe is the tendency of the future business market. With the rapid rise of the Chinese economy, business issues in China are always tightly linked with global business. One good example is the currency devaluation. As an international student from China, I would like to promote the development of international cooperation, especially in the field of business. In Georgetown, differences are not only accepted but celebrated. Not only does inclusion foster McDonough a collaborative and powerful relationship, it also plays an important role in my growth. I envision to meet and befriend with people from different cultures in my university stage. The program--MSBAC-- is beneficial for me to build a bridge and make a positive change with McDonough peers. In addition, McDonough has various types of activities to enrich student's daily life outside classrooms. Through these interactions, the school encourages stronger mentorships between teachers and students which facilitate better learning. I desire to participate these activities to further cultivate my interest and potential; for example, due to my environmental passion, I am interested in the environmental-friendly community in Georgetown. It is well known that Georgetown emphasizes the significance of recycling, which is what I involve much in daily life.
