As an accomplished graduating senior, I seek to further progress my education by pursing a Bachelors of Arts through Florida International University’s Business program. FIU became my preferred institution after visiting the beautifully lush and colorful campus while learning about their diverse balance of academic, research, and interactive service programs that serve both the local and global communities. I am most interested in mastering and applying the theories and skills from the business core courses such as Financial, Operations, and Strategic Management. Aside from excelling in my core curriculum I plan to progress my networking skills, contacts, and experiences by collaborating with experienced and motivated student leaders and mentors through FIU’s Association of Latino Professional for America student organization. Together we can make an impact on the global economy and markets of Wall Street through their accounting firms, stock-market competitions, and fundraising for the national convention. I believe a strong contributing factor to FIU’s exponential progress in excelling specifically in their business program is the ideal location of Miami. FIU effectively portrays their multicultural institution by mirroring the diverse and financially powerful city it serves and resides in.
