Upon arriving at the University of Michigan, I, like many of my peers, thought that I had everything figured out. I thought that I knew exactly what I wanted to study, exactly what classes I wanted to take, and exactly how to do this. However, after taking classes in the subject that I thought I would major in, as well as looking further into the major requirements for the subject, I soon came to realize that I was simply wrong. While this realization terrified me to an extent, as I no longer had a degree plan, it also caused me to think further and deeper into what I was really passionate about, and what subjects I truly enjoyed studying. This led me to not only look into different course options within LSA, but also look more closely at options offered by the other various schools on campus. After pondering my passions and interests, as well as combing through different degree options, I found myself extremely intrigued with the School of Kinesiology. More specifically, with their Sport Management program. Sports are something that I have always been passionate about, due to their unique ability to bring extremely diverse groups of people together to work for a common goal. I believe that the Sport Management program within the School of Kinesiology offers me the unique opportunity to study and participate in a subject area that I am very passionate about, as well as preparing me extremely well for future career opportunities following
