Witnessing the growth of my parent's business from a young age has been the main inspiration of my interest in business and since I have been experiencing business throughout my life. When I was old enough to gain valuable insight I helped my parents and enjoyed learning the different aspects of the business world. Since this time my involvement in business has grown and I am determined that this is the career path I wish to follow. Being keen to expand my knowledge of business, I took on Applied Business, Applied IT and Politics for A Level. Since studying Marketing during business studies GCSE and A Level, my interest has grown and marketing particularly appeals to me as it is arguably the most important segment of any business. The subject as a whole interests me and I have strived to take my interest out of the classroom by taking part in Young Enterprise, basing my work experience around marketing and also volunteering in a local company assisting with their PR. During my time at school, I have developed my organisational and self-motivational skills as these are very important when studying at university and when in a business career; high motivation and dedication is involved in business and I have built on these traits in preparation for university. Completing group and individual projects at school demonstrates my ability to work in a team and alone and has also allowed the growth of my leadership skills. I have learnt that cooperation and joint motivation is essential to a team's success and this knowledge is something I look forward to practically using when at university. I also look forward to learning from my class mates and being able to share with them my strengths.
