Growing up, we all dream of becoming someone in life, however that decision changes as we grow up and experience and learn new things in and about life. Growing up, my mindset has changed on what I wanted to become, but now I am sure that I want to become a successful accountant. I chose the field of accounting because I have always been interested in money, as well as I have always had a passion for math which is a skill that I will develop as an accountant. I know I can accomplish this goal if I continue to do good in school and I do not let anyone get in my way. A few skills that I know will help me accomplish my goals are that I am determined, I do not let anyone interfere with my educational decisions, and I am open to listen to the ideas of others. …show more content…

For example, once I decided what I wanted to do, I decided that I would do everything I had to do in order to become the accountant I want to be. In addition, I set my small goals that would help me reach my bigger goal of becoming an accountant. I became determined to do my best in all of my classes in high school, especially math, and do even better in my courses once I get to college in order to ensure that I am well prepared at what I am trying to pursue. In my opinion, I believe that the way I currently have my mindset will help me achieve my goals and I will be able to become the accountant I aspire to be. Growing up, our parents tell us to pursue our dreams because at the end of the day, what we make up of our dreams is what will mark and outline the rest of our lives.
