Doubtlessly, primary education plants the seeds of learning in the minds of young people. I am a diligent and organised student hoping to join the Education Course. I have recognised the importance of education and the impact it has on the lives of young people through volunteering and work experience, as well as being a pupil and seeing different teaching methods myself. I feel the Primary Education course is ideal for me to expand not only my own knowledge, but also that ofyounger students. My A Level subjects have been highly beneficial to the Education course, particularly English, as it has enabled me to teach younger students and gain the confidence to speak in front of classes. Spanish and History have also proved to be valuable as in relation to the Primary Education course I have the experience of a foreign language and different aspects of history to create stimulating lessons.

I also believe being a team player is necessary for a teaching career, as no matter what position you are in it is important to work together to provide students with stability and care; something I have found to be an important balance. These different situations have enabled me to continue to gain confidence and the ability to try and solve problems, particularly from mentoring; I found it incredible to provide responses to questions that younger students asked, as well as being respected.
