Acquiring a business degree has always been my ultimate goal during my educational career. Being the first member of my family striving for a university degree, there are many fears of failing and stumbling down. It is not necessarily easy creating a path and earning everything independently. On a daily basis, work consumes a large part of my time, and energy, to earn the necessary every day needs for my family and I. However, these challenges only elevate my ambition to transfer from a college to a university and achieve my goals. There are many reasons why business interests me. Mainly because, a career in business is capable of reaching into every aspect of modern human life. It sparks a great interest in me to be a valuable contributor to such changes in society. Utilizing my communication skills, critical and logical thinking; I have advanced from a busboy to a successful server in the industry. Already having some of the skills for this field, I am looking forward to enhance and utilize them towards my goal. For example, in a fine dining restaurant, there is no mistake allowed. That is in monetary transactions and specially in costumer service. It takes great responsibility and a high level of training to prepare for this sort of business. While organizing events on my own has given me a sense of leadership and organization. In addition, I have been given the opportunity to organize catering events for different companies on my own. Being exposed to these challenges and opportunities, I have grown my interest in elevating my gained skills in the field of business.
