I am interested in a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism because I enjoy writing and public speaking. Writing is talent I possess, because it provides me with critical thinking skills, as well as having an important skill in the academia and career field. Writing helps me explain my ideas with clarity to others, including myself. Public speaking is another talent I possess, because it provides me with communication and leadership skills. Public speaking increases my self-confidence and communicates my message effectively. Both of my talents in writing and public speaking differentiates myself from my colleagues, whether it would be at school or work. I standout to others and be the leader by showing my confidence in writing and public speaking, since I can demonstrate my knowledge about a specific topic to others. The Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communications has the aspects of writing and public speaking, which stands out to me the most. These aspects will help me reach my academic and career goals.
