Motivation, learning styles, and values pertain to an individual’s inner self, which characterizes their uniqueness, drive for success, and their sense of urgency, either within an individual or collaborative setting. Throughout my work experience within various organizations I have instituted principles that have characterized my drive as well as my ambition for success. While being involved in a multitude of teams I have came to realizations of how my learning styles correlate to my personal emotional intelligence and build upon my motivational needs. A concrete example of working collaboratively in a business setting to achieve a goal was when I had worked hands on for a real estate company, arranging times to showcase houses, working efficiently toward deadlines, and presenting information in a comprehensible fashion. Unfamiliar with certain procedures to effectively achieve company goals I had to work productively within company expectation not against the company’s ethics, which gradually constructed my personal learning style. In order to manage my time efficiently and produce a satisfactory outcome I had to extract and develop certain skill-sets that worked not only for my own personal development, but that acted in unison with the colleagues I shared my ideas with, leading to an engaging and productive work environment. Managing myself, while effectively making a substantial outline of my tasks had led to more productive and precise work, uplifting my own moral as well as the upstanding expectations of the company I had worked for. While criticism can feel degrading and demeaning, a strong skill I had developed while working for the real estate company was using criticism to improve performance, especially in a demanding and rigorous environment like this client based field. Adapting to attitudes of the property owners or potential customers was another skill that I had adopted into my learning style. Within the real estate field one works with a wide array of individuals, from managing and obtaining properties in prosperous neighborhoods to foreclosing and seizing section eight housing complexes in low income neighborhoods. Dealing with a multitude of different individuals from various backgrounds was an unfamiliar situation that had continuously surfaced, thus I had to endure
