My interest in the study of life and the multifaceted field of science has been apparent since I was small and has greatly increased over the years. From watching the National Geographic and Animal Planet Channels daily, and dissecting insects for fun all the way up to now, where I am applying to Universities to study medicine. My love of science is just one of my reasons for choosing medicine. I enjoy a challenge particularly towards a rewarding objective and although medicine is a tough career it can be enormously gratifying, highlighted by the doctors I have spoken to during my experience and on a personal level.

Working there gave me the opportunity to interact with the elderly patients on a variety of occasions, which was especially enjoyable for me as I loved hearing stories from their childhood and earlier lives. As a result of my polite yet charismatic demeanor I was able to develop close relationships with many of the patients so much so that every time I arrived for my routine Saturday visit I would be greeted with hugs and kisses even applause sometimes. My strong work ethic also made me a favorite amongst the staff, as they knew I was willing and eager to learn and work just as hard as they did. While I’m still technically a high school student at the Berkeley Institute, I am also a full-time college student at the Bermuda College and as result upon my graduation from high school I will also be awarded an Associates degree in arts and science. I was only afforded the opportunity to take part in this dual program because of the fact that I not only managed to complete most of my high school credits by my second year, but I had also maintained a grade point average above 90% (or 3.60) in the process and had achieved above C grades in my O-Levels. I did not merely accept this challenge of attending two schools but I put my all into it and as a result I was also at the top of the President’s List at the Bermuda College for the 2016/17 academic year. This program has allowed me to take advanced courses in biology such as Medical Microbiology and Anatomy & Physiology as well as in psychology, which collectively have improved my understanding of the scientific aspects of
