“I’m going to go to Italy and take BUL3310 and also MAN4340”, I blurted out to my friends as we talked about our future endeavors. I remember saying this but not knowing how to really put those words into actions. Going to Florida State University, I wanted to take advantage of more than just the football games. I wanted to be able to travel, grow, and learn. Maximizing my resources is an important trait to have in regards to actually being in college. At the University I am enrolled in there is about 1,391.54 acres of land and school buildings. So I wanted to at least conquer the International Affairs Programs building and also maximize my resources in the Advising office. As a growing student and learning individual, I’ve been to a lot of places in America. I lived in Florida, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and I’ve visited New Hampshire, Georgia, Washington D.C. But my dreams go further than just to America, I want to travel to Africa and learn more about the culture. I plan on traveling to Greece and the International Affairs Study Aboard Program offered me that excitement when I first heard of it. Once I walked up the stairs to the Bellamy Building, I was lost didn’t know what say or do. The front desk Study Aboard front desk representative welcomed me and she asked me “How can I help you?” in the most enthusiastic voice. I stated that I just needed some information in regards to Studying Aboard and she directed me to an open office labeled room BEL211 and I met with Rod Mack the financial Aid Advisor for the Study Aboard Program and Academic Specialist. That was the most informational meeting I’ve had at Florida State University. I had no previous knowledge of this office and the primary main function of this particular office consisted of several services. For example, there were about 3 open offices in which students can seem academic advisement, or can receive information
