The words of an unborn baby are ones that almost no one ever thinks of, or hears. Abortion is the intentional killing of the fragile and most vulnerable that surrounds us. Unfortunately, for a really long time the procedure of abortion has been legal all around the world. Recently the number of abortions has increased over the years and many people highly support abortion and their reasons for their support differ. However, every baby deserves a chance to live, so abortion should be illegal across the world. Approximately 1.06 million abortions took place in the U.S. down from estimated 1.21 million abortions in 2008, 1.29 million in 2002, 1.31 million in 2000 and, 1.36 million in 1996. From 1973 through 2011, nearly fifty-three million legal abortions occurred in the U.S. (U.S. Abortion Statistics, 1) Abortion is when the pregnancy is ended so that it does not result in the birth of a child; sometimes this is called “termination of pregnancy”. The pregnancy is taken from the womb, either by taking medication which consists of taking medicines to cause a miscarriage or by surgical procedure where the pregnancy is taken out of the womb. There are broadly two types of abortion treatment, the abortion pill and surgical abortion. Abortion takes innocent lives and the child being killed doesn’t have a choice whether he or she lives or not, unborn human beings are still living people. Abortion punishes innocent people; a child does not deserve to have their life taken for the problems of their parents. Abortion should be illegal because murder is illegal and getting an abortion is basically the same thing as murder.
