Vivisection is the practice of cutting into or using invasive techniques on live animals. Billions of animals have been burned, crushed, sliced, electrocuted, poisoned, and psychologically tormented for research. Every year, more than one hundred million animals are dissected, infected, injected, gassed, and blinded in hidden laboratories on college campuses and research facilities throughout the world. This difficulty in relating data gained from animal experiments to human beings has caused enormous suffering over the years. Animal testing should not be used for research because it is unethical, used for unnecessary goods, and may lead to researchers believing that dangerous substances are safe for human use.

Animals can suffer and be in pain just like humans, these people who conduct the tests and experiments on them are aware that they are causing them a tremendous amount of pain. “Before some of the animal’s deaths, they are forced to inhale toxic fumes, others are immobilized in restraint devices for hours, some have holes drilled into their skulls, and others have their skin burned off or their spinal cords crushed. These animals are aware that they are being tortured, they have feelings and hurt just like humans. “Animals in laboratories are deprived of everything that is natural and important to them, they are confined to barren cages, socially isolated, and psychologically traumatized.” The thinking, feeling animals who are used in these experiments are treated like nothing more than lab equipment. Animals do not deserve to be treated so poorly, they have no voice but they sure do have feelings, people have to be their voice and take a stand on this
