Marijuana is mostly known for being inhaled or consumed, but those are not the only things. For example, the fibers of the plant can be made into “rope or fabric (Livescience)”. New Health Advisor put an article up with 10 reasons why marijuana should not be legal, but the statements are dishonest and fraudulent. The main purpose of this essay is not convince a state to legalize marijuana to use it for rope, but to inhale or consume it. Currently the drug is legal in 8 states for recreational use and 23 states for medical use. Eventually it should be legal in all the states because it will help more than hurt the United States. According to the “Huffingtonpost” a test was done in 2010 on drugs seeing which was more harmful to other and to the user. Marijuana was below tobacco and alcohol users for being dangerous to others surrounding the user. Another know fact is that it is physically impossible to die form an overdose on marijuana. For alcohol on the other hand it is more common for someone to overdose or drive while intoxicated. If someone is on other prescription drugs marijuana will not interact with the drugs because it is digested differently, but alcohol is not. If alcohol is consumed with prescribed drugs, then it may have side effects because both alcohol and the drug are digested in the stomach so they are fused together. Marijuana also has health benefits, which alcohol does not. Lastly alcohol can lead to different kinds of diseases and marijuana still has yet to be proven to lead to lung
