Medical Marijuana. It’s safer than alcohol and tobacco but still illegal. Seven states have made it legal for recreational use in just the last 7 months. That makes 26 states where medical marijuana is legal and other states should also make cannabis legal. This is a debate that has been going on for a long time. We should legalize medical marijuana.
Medical marijuana helps with medical issues. A nursing home in New York is assisting their residents use cannabis for a new program to treat different illnesses as a different route to prescription drugs.The New York Times also reports that marijuana has helped people with different types of dementia including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and more. On top of all of that, scientists have proven that cannabis has been effective in treating people with certain medical conditions. Some of these conditions include: neuropathic pain, nausea from chemotherapy, and many more.
