The affordable healthcare act also known as Obama care is a very complicated act that an average person would have difficulties understanding. Like any other law, some individuals will benefit from it more than others. It will also have many issues and problems that will take a while to fix. In some cases, the issues may not be fixable at all. There have been many modifications to the act, and the government will still make many more changes. In addition some policies are not effective yet and are still in a working process.
One of the great benefits of this act is the guaranteed coverage of people with pre-existing condition, people whose applications were declined, were overcharged by their health insurance or were discriminated because of their gender. Millions of uninsured people will have access to affordable, high quality health care through their employer, health insurance market place, and Medicaid. …show more content…

The enrollment policy needs to change, people should be able to enroll through out the year. Enrollment period should not be specific to a certain time of the year. It should also be optional for the people to get health insurance, and the government shouldn’t mandate it. As a citizen, I should have the choice of freedom to choose if I want to get health insurance, and the government have no right to force people to get it. Individuals with high income shouldn’t pay more to cover others. I believe it is the government’s duty to cover those who are not able to pay for themselves instead of increasing the tax on the high earners. Even though this act should reduce the monthly fee of the health insurance, for many Americans, including myself we are forced to pay more. Therefore, a policy should be incorporated, that regulates how much the healthcare market place should charge people. I believe it should be a fixed monthly fee across the board for
