Have you ever could yourself caught yourself answering a text while you’re driving? Well believe it or not texting and driving is illegal in 46 states. Yet you still see people all over the United States using their cell phone while driving. Texting and driving has become such a common think in our society, as everyone has smartphones, and can’t wait to answer when they get a text. It has been debated if those other four states should ban it or not. Some say that making it illegal will do nothing, people will continue to text and driving. That probably is most likely going to be true, but if a cop pulls you over they could give you a ticket if it’s illegal. I think texting and driving should be illegal in all 50 states, because you are making the road unsafe to others, your eyes are off the road too long, and you are more likely to get into an accident.

Just in 2012 only caused 3,328 people to die because of fatal crashes that involved cell phones. There is a point to be made when people say they have been doing it for years and nothing has happened yet.
