Texting and driving has been one of the leading causes of death for people in America. On average around 330,000 people in America get seriously injured each year. Most states in
America have made texting and driving illegal. But the thing is not all states have texting and driving as a law. Texting and driving should be illegal in all 50 states in America.
Did you know that answering a text may only take 5 seconds, but when you’re traveling at

It would also keep others around the person texting behind the wheel safe also. 600,000 are tempted to use their phone behind the wheel daily. That’s a HUGE number! We could solve this problem very easily by making it illegal in all 50 states.
In July of 2015, a 17 year old girl from Minnesota decided to text, and drive. Not only could she affect herself or her friends that were in the back seat, but also the people around her.
As she was texting and driving she got so focused into what she was typing that she completely ran a stoplight at a busy intersection. Her friends were freaking out, and telling her to get off her phone. By then it was too late. The 17 year old girl had T-boned a father and his 4 year old daughter. Luckily for the girl and her friends they survived with few injuries. But for the dad and his extremely young daughter it was unlucky. The dad was pronounced dead at the scene, and the daughter was air flighted to the hospital. The little girl was put on life support and nothing turned out good so they had to let her go. Imagine if that was you, and having to live with such guilt. In the blink of an eye anything can happen. Especially while texting and driving. This is a
