There may be people who disagree but it's a smart move making it illegal to text while driving. There have been many accidents regarding cellphones being the main reason for the accident. Not only does it endanger the ones driving but the ones around you. It is not a surprise that some states made it illegal when texting and driving is one of the biggest reasons for crashes in the U.S. There has to be something done about the texting and driving situation or else the statistics will rise higher and crashes will continue on. There could be a time where an individual is at a stoplight and they look down to text then they get read ended because it was a green light but that individual did not see that due to them paying so much attention to their phone instead of the road. Any split second something could happen that could risk their life over a text that is not as important as an individuals life. One should be aware of their surroundings at all times when driving anywhere at any time. Texting and driving is very reckless considering not only is the individual endangering themselves but the people surrounding them. The person driving responsibly who has their eyes on the road could face the consequence of another persons error which makes the altercation extremely unfortunate to the person who was responsible while driving. No text can be that important that will take someones eyes of the road and endanger innocent people around them. Texting and driving may be a habit for one but can easily be changed if laws are established like some states have done. The text can wait, temptation may be an annoying feeling but you can overcome it with ease. A few states making it illegal was a smart move from those specific states but, they should make it illegal in every state if they
