Cannabis is a wonderful substance when used in its proper forms. It can generate income for local businesses and government, it is a safe alternative to traditional prescription pharmaceuticals, and it helps combat a black market. Legalization of Cannabis could be the answer to the problem.

When a market for Cannabis gets set up in a legalized system it can help income for local businesses and government by bringing in cannabis connoisseurs. A cannabis connoisseur is a person that travels to experience different strains of cannabis. Legalizing cannabis will help combat a black market for this drug and other drugs, as well. Drug dealing is a crime and it's possible to link one crime to other crimes. Drug dealing might be linked to crimes such as murder, robbery, and kidnapping. When the chain is broke, it leaves fewer crimes to committed, for instance, a drug dealer loans you some drugs and you can’t come up with the money to pay the drug dealer back. The drug dealer gets angry and confronts you about the money, one thing leads to another, and the drug dealer shoots you in the face. If there was never a black market for this, the drug dealer would have never been a drug dealer, and he would’ve never shot you in the face. By taking out the drug dealer, you are taking out the opportunity for the murder to take place. Legalizing cannabis will produce dispensaries for cannabis. A dispensary will always sell cannabis and never run out. Buying cannabis in the black market isn’t reliable; if you go to a drug dealer’s house and he doesn’t have cannabis but has something else, this is opening a gateway for you to try harder substances. Legalizing cannabis will prevent this from happening because a dispensary will always have cannabis available. Drug enforcement agencies will have more money to use for drugs that harm
