In Unbroken Part IV, the Japanese guards, everyday would try and make their POWs feel “invisible” but the POWs resisted, demonstrating resilience multiple times. The Atomic bomb is a release of nuclear energy, due to the sudden release in energy it causes a violent explosive power, creating a tremendous amount of damage. In Hiroshima, the Atomic bomb killed 14,800 more people per square mile than the traditional fire bomb (National Archives United States). The war in the Pacific, against Japan was the first war in history to practice nucleic weapons. It is believed that when Truman was faced with the choice on whether or not to drop the bombs, despite his morals, he decided that dropping the bomb was essential to scaring and dismissing Russia. Which brings us to 1945 on August 6th when the first Atomic bomb was dropped, even though Truman did not have the right to drop the Atomic bombs on Japan.
On August 6th through 9th, 1945, the United States made a controversial decision that changed the course of history. The Atomic Bombing caused an upshot for America to the Japanese. Four years prior, Japan made a surprise attack on the United States Pacific Naval base, Pearl Harbor, on December 7th, 1941. Although Japan had experienced crucial damage from the atomic bomb, the US decision to drop the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a morally justifiable act of self defense. It prevented further American casualties to ending World War II, which also allowed Japan to be held accountable for their surprise attack on Pearl Harbor.
The Atomic Bomb. Something that went KABOOOOOM! almost 80 years ago. This weapon was made by J. Robert Oppenheimer, also known as the “Father of the Atomic Bomb”, an American physicist who directed the Manhattan Project. It was a United States government program to build the first atomic bomb during World War II.
The Atomic Bomb As Mandelbaum said that “The nuclear age is the child of both politics and physics. It is, therefore, the product of the two most powerful forces of the modern age - science and nationalism” (8). History shows that the nuclear weapon has power to destroy entire cities within seconds faster than any wars, natural disasters or life threatening diseases (Mandelbaum 1). The first nuclear bomb was tested in July 16th 1945 in New Mexico and the first nuclear bomb was dropped in war on Hiroshima, Japan on August 6th 1945 by United States (Bomb Facts: How Nuclear Weapons are Made). The nuclear bomb killed thousands of people instantly and many died within five years of period due to radiation or after shock (Bomb Facts: How Nuclear Weapons are Made).
Over 416,800 US soldiers died in war world two. In August 1945 president Truman decided to drop two atomic bombs on Japan. I think he did the right decision. Thousands of americans died in world war two, Japan bombed pearl harbor and it was necessary to end the war. My first main point is, we saved thousands or maybe millions of americans.
Decision to Drop the Atomic Bomb World War II was one of the most destructive conflicts in all of human history, with an estimated 60 million deaths. It involved the axis powers made up of Germany, Japan, and Italy battling against the allied powers of Britain, the Soviet Union, and the United States after the bombing of pearl harbor. This war was caused not only by the harsh terms of the Treaty of Versailles, but also the economic depression in Germany leading to conquest to regain former power. War began in 1939 when Germany invaded Poland, the United States having been provoked by Japan ended the war by dropping an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. A war can be considered just if it is a nation defending its homeland or protecting an oppressed

However, when the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, 60,000-80,000 people were killed instantly. Over the next four months, tens of thousands more people died due to various illnesses which were mainly caused by radiation exposure.
Parenting is often judged yet rarely understood. One could be the ultimate parent AND the ultimate failure, all at the same time. The guilt of corrupting someone who is your responsibility deteriorates a parent over time. It is universally accepted that as we grow older we become a mirror image of our parents. Their values become our own, just as their parents’ became theirs.

The atomic bomb was a terrible thing. It killed 150,000 in Hiroshima and 75,000 in Nagasaki, plus many survivors became horribly disfigured from the intensive heat, and death from radiation is uncertain it may not kill the victims for days, weeks, months, or even years. (Although the bomb did save the USA from sending foot soldier to Japan, the Japanese were ready to surrender on terms that they can keep their empire and we had no need to use it). The atomic bomb was a nuclear weapon of war, and the first of these bombs were dropped on two Japanese during the second world war. The dropping of the atomic bomb was justified because of the fact that Japan had attacked Pearl Harbor, they had participated in many atrocities and a land invasion would have caused more of the allies to die. It’s because of these big reasons that the United States had to drop the atomic bomb because without it the Japanese would’ve just continued to fight and kill more allies. The atomic bomb also showed the Japanese and the axis powers that they were a nation not to fight with.
