This is not an unattainable or irrational goal for those preparing to enter college level courses or the workforce.
That is why I suggest that our community should have a “Reads Program”. This program will be supervised by our teachers from various schools and evaluated through interrelated school activities such as sports. Having a book club helps each reader to listen to others point of view. Allows others to meet new people. Makes reading fun and enjoyable and set examples for our younger ones.

William H. Schmidt and Nathan A. Burroughs claim that Common Core Standards boost quality and equality, two persistent problems in the U.S education. The issue of quality lies in the inadequacy of mathematics.
Many kids in classes don’t support having to always read books the teacher assigns. I support having students being able to choose what books they would like to read in class. For example, it gives the students a voice. Additionally, it lets students choose books they enjoy more. Also, if the students have books they are interested in they will be more engaged in the classroom.
Students can use books to grow their knowledge about our everyday day life. “It is important to help students see that everyone 's view counts” (Scales). By allowing students to see different points of views they’re able to experience situations unfamiliar to them and learn about different cultures and societies. If they don’t have the opportunity to read these books then they might miss out on these vital lessons. Children need to know about sensitive topics and strong ideas.
