Introduction:
This Practice plan is designed for a high school basketball team and so far in the course we have learned that the importance of fundamentals in basketball is very crucial to be successful. So keeping that in mind we have designed this practice to work on the basic fundamentals of the game such as passing, shooting, footwork, pivoting, and positioning. All the drills are designed to advance into more difficult level forcing the player to think like real game situations.
Warm up:
1) High Knees : It is performed by bringing the knees up higher than normal and moving them as quickly as possible and trying to bring the knees higher than your waistline.
It is important to keep your ankles, knees, hips, and shoulders facing the direction you are running.

Benefits:
Quadriceps stretching brings similar benefits like every other stretch. More specifically, the quadriceps stretches can benefit a person in the following aspects: 1. More flexibility, less stiffness
2. Reduced possibilities of encountering knee or back pain
3. Legs less susceptible to injuries
Coaching Tips:
Opt for controlled and well-governed movements, carefully reaching the stretch and returning to the initial/neutral position the same way. Also avoid stretches that place a big load on your back.
1) V-Cut Pass and shoot:
Players start off in two equal lines facing the hoop. Player #1 run straight to baseline and make a V-cut back towards the player #2. Player #1 get a pass from
Player #2. Player #1 pivots and squares up towards the hoop. #1 gets it’s own rebound and gives the ball to Player #4. Player #3 already has the ball and #2 mimics player #1. The drill is a never ending passing, pivioting, and shooting.

● Well timed passes
● Proper Pivot foot
● Player squares up the hoop while shooting
