Research Question:
What is the perception in nursing students regarding the quality if food served from the kitchen of the School of Nursing?
Aim:
To find out about the current quality standards of food in the School of Nursing and its impacts/effects on students.
Objectives:
1. To find out if storage, preparation and serving of food in the School of Nursing meets standard OHS and MOH quality guidelines.
2. To find out if current food quality sufficiently meets students' nutritional needs.

The study was carried out in the USA in October 2010, and was aimed at finding out the effects of outside food, i.e., food away from home, on the diet quality and nutritional health of children and adolescents. This was a qualitative study whereby the authors utilized past research analysis to gather data on the subject and collated correlated findings.
The findings of the study highlighted the ever increasing popularity of food away from home. These include fast food, pre-packed snacks, and school food. The findings depict the increase of obesity and other diet-related diseases with the altered calorie intakes due to the increase in the intake of food away from home. Moreover, the study also highlights that foods from school tend to increase calorie intakes but have a negative impact on diet quality.
This study is relevant to the intended study as it carries a similar basis to the intended study by basing the research question on the diet quality of school food. Moreover, it will also serve as a comparative analogy for the intended study with the basis of calorie intake and dietary
