Most undergrad students are apprehensive about their academic future. Every undergrad is desperate for an experience that might distinguish them later on from their peers, and enhance their chances of getting their desired job. I am no different from these students. I believe with an internship experience I am able to make myself sensible and recommendable in the future for my career.

I want this internship to assist me in building an employment history, gain first-hand experience, and enhance my resume. With this REU project, I will have a high-impact educational practice for achieving excellence in liberal education. With education as a responsibility I tend to ask a lot of questions to things I may not know as a researcher would. My effort to become a great scientist is represented in the work I do during class and as well as outside of the classroom. Working with someone is nothing new to me, I have experience that will come in handy one way or another. When I am not in class I am working in a lab at Notre Dame of Maryland University as a laboratory assistant with Dr. Lee an assistant professor in pharmaceutical science. As a laboratory assistant, I have learned how to prepare experiments, process specimens, maintain lab equipment, and clean up after each experiment. I have remarkable socializing and writing skills that I have spent a great deal of time perfecting. Being a laboratory assistant has shown me how research is the fastest and safest way to find treatments that work systematically.
