To start, the readings that we have discussed have been very stimulating from a creative standpoint. This is important since imagination is necessary to properly convey one’s thoughts and feelings. Likewise, the responses and subsequent class discussions have further served to promote abstract and analytical thinking.

When I first started Dual English Comp I was narrow-minded and stubborn. This course opened up my mind to English but also taught me how to write a successful college essay. Before this course I had no idea which kind of punctuation to use or when to put a comma before but or and. When I look back on my first paper I wrote for English Comp I can definitely see a difference between my first piece of work and one of my last essays I wrote and how much I have improved. My initial goal when I first came into this class was to get an A no matter what.
I just want to start off by saying that this class has been so helpful and I have been able to learn so much and also see different perspectives with all of your help. It has truly been a pleasure working with all of you this semester! Even though I had ACC 201 background knowledge with me starting this class I was still nervous because math is not my strongest subject, but there was no need to be nervous. Although the material may have been challenging at times this class provided all the necessary materials and help so I could be successful in this class. I want to specifically thank Professor Chester for always answering all of my questions and making sure I grasped the material.

I choose the writers and authors career cluster because sometimes I think about things and I write them down in my notes and on my phone so this could be a career I might enjoy doing. This career cluster is interesting to me because I think I would do this career because I would be getting money off something I enjoy doing. Writers and authors are also on TV a lot and being on TV is a goal of mine. In this career cluster your job or occupation may be to plan project arrangements or outlines.
Feedback is the best form of communication a student can receive. It is no secret that feedback in Composition courses improves people’s confidence while they gain unbiased opinions about their writing. There have been many opportunities to earn feedback from different resources such as the writing center, other people in their course, and a professor. Sometimes people may agree or disagree with people’s feelings toward their writing, but how a person uses feedback allows them to improve as a writer. In this essay, students will discuss their feelings toward the critiques they have received from the writing center, peers, and their professor to guide them toward the final revisions of their research paper which will improve their writing capabilities
