Rescue 7 Inc. is provincially certified through the applicable WSIB – Regulations 1101, 20116 standards and federally through Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) in accordance with the Canadian Occupational Safety & Health (COSH) regulations, Part XVI, First Aid. Rescue 7 Inc.’s Medical Doctor, Jay MacDonald, oversees all Rescue 7 Inc.’s first aid programs. The office includes approximately 8000 square feet of workspace, which is comprised of our administrative office, storage facilities and training facilities complete with kitchen, lounge, restrooms and two training rooms. Each training room is equipped with tables/chairs, white board/markers, podium/microphone, projection screen, projector (ceiling mounted), laptop, wireless Internet access, television and DVD player. Our regional satellite office and/or training locations include: Toronto, Oakville, Hamilton, London, Barrie, Peterborough, Ottawa, North Bay, Edmonton, Calgary, Victoria, Vancouver, Langley, Prince George, Kamloops, Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, Winnipeg, Moncton, Sydney, Halifax, St. John’s, Charlottetown, Quebec City, Montreal and Yellowknife. John has nineteen years’ experience with the Toronto Fire Services and fourteen years on a Heavy Rescue vehicle. John is currently a certified Instructor-Trainer in First Aid with Rescue 7 Inc., Health Canada and Human Resources Development Canada, as well as an Instructor with the National Safety Council in the U.S. John has completed the Ontario Fire Marshall's Emergency Patient Care Instructor Level (First Responder) Program and is certified in Auto Extrication, High Angle Rescue, Hazardous Materials and Confined Space Entry. John was a Shift-Training Instructor with Toronto Fire Services for defibrillators before leaving to become President of Rescue 7 Inc., seven years ago. John, currently sits on the CSA’s Workplace First Aid Technical Committee with a voting share to decide new standards for a national first aid curriculum.
