Leonardo Da Vinci technique had an interesting style of painting like sfumato and chiaroscuro which both interns make the artwork better than the middle ages and more professional. Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the most famous renaissance painters he is recognized for inventing two techniques which are sfumato which allows tones and colors to shade which is able to produce soften or hazy outlines no harsh outlines.
Leonardo Da Vinci is a prominent figure during the Italian Renaissance; he was known as a painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer. Leonardo was born on April 14, 1452, in the Tuscan hill town of Vinci (the lower valley of the Arno River in the territory of Florence). As a child, Leonardo da Vinci was able to discern the laws of science and nature; which allowed him to portray it into his artworks. The topic I chose to research is Art: The work of Leonardo da Vinci on perspective, light, shadows, and color in painting. I am an art major, so I was very intrigued with the subject matter and enjoyed researching about it. Motivated to make his paintings more life-like, Leonardo da Vinci helped to pave the way for painting realistically in the Renaissance era. He discovered a way to make objects look 3D using techniques coined as chiaroscuro and sfumato. By using these techniques in his artwork, other paintings of the era looked flat and dull in comparison.

One of his most interesting inventions is the Ornithopter which is the first design of the plane.
