Leonardo da Vinci: a painter, sculptor, architect, engineer and inventor was diversely talented and blessed with a profound curiosity. Da Vinci deserves a commemorative stamp as a result of being an unforgettable artist and innovative scientist leaving the world with stunning works of art.
Da Vinci’s work did not take long to be spread throughout Europe.In fact in his teen years he was occasionally admitteed into the painters guild in Florece.In his life span he completed about thirty paintings some of the more notorious were : “the Last Supper” (1495-1497), “The Virgin of the Rocks” (1483), and the “Mona Lisa”(1503-1506). In 1487, he submitted the first designs for a dome and even came up with the idea of a multi leveled church. Da Vinci’s talents were also on display from 1517 - 1519 as he designed the palace and garden at Romorantin in France.
During the last few years of his life he solely focused on his scientific explorations and math.He used anatomy and physics to try and perfect his sketches. Da Vinci dissected various geometric figures and eventually found proof of the pythagorean theorem. He kept notebooks filled with his ideas and although he never produced any of his inventions his influence can not be
