They had famous songs like ( “I want you back” that blew up in communities. They also had some television success. They were on “The Carol Burnett show” and a show called “Soul Train”. The Jackson 5 had a huge fan base when they wrote their own songs and were on television shows. Along with there television success they were on a television special “ goin back to Indiana’’.
In it’s beginning years, The Rolling Stone explored beyond the normal boundaries of what was acceptable to print in the mainstream media at the time. It would report on topics such as the war in Vietnam, drugs, and other controversial topics that other publications would not dare touch. The magazine also featured long-form or literary journalism, which was not really common at that time. They started with a small group, in 1966, as a trio group, known as the Missing Links. They slowly added more and more individuals. By the time the end of 1967 rolled around the band was composed of seven members, each member specialized in their own instrument. Today there are 9 members that are a constant presence in the music scene. Once the full band of Chicago was formed they had a slow route to the public eye, they often declined interviews due to their avid practicing and composing (Gile).
The band started out of thin air because Johnny brought up the idea to Harry, and he was all for it. They found a drummer named Richie and then got a quiet kid named Dave to play the bass. Today if you were to say, “The Rolling Stones,” everybody that knows the least bit about rock and roll will know who you are talking about. You are an iconic rock and roll band that many people can’t help but to get into your music. You are a band that a lot of people have heard of even if they don’t listen to rock and roll, everybody has at least heard of some of your most famous songs.
February 9th, 1964: The Beatles took the world by storm by making their debut on “The Ed Sullivan Show”. The popular rock group included John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They’ve changed the world with their music and became the best selling band in history. The Beatles are one of the most influential music groups impacting the world in more ways than one.
They changed the world of music repeatedly throughout their time together. They created the version of music videos we now have today, before they were short film performances of songs or original settings of songs that ended up in movies. The Beatles created the merge of the two creating the modern day version of music videos. Before The Beatles, an artist would release single songs one after the other and then after all the songs were all released a long-playing album would be released. The Beatles however were the first people to keep an entire album unheard until the release day and then expose it as a complete album.
Today I am going to tell you about famous astronomer Galileo Galilei. Galileo was first born on 15th of February 1564 in Pisa, Italy and he died on 8th of January 1642 Arcetri, Italy. Galileo didn’t invent the first ever telescope but he did invent his own telescope which assisted him with finding Saturn and Jupiter. Galileo didn’t only find Jupiter but as well as 4 of its moons.
