School is an institution designed to be a learning environment to teach kids. The purpose of having multiple classes is so that students can development many skills. In retrospect, the idea seems extremely useful is letting kids learn more and expand their knowledge on different subjects. However, the idea becomes lost when students have to focus on studying for short amounts of time to succeed on tests, which then leads them to forget the information immediately afterward. Because of this, it is no surprise to see how teens are often depressed, angry, and exhausted because of all the work that students do during the school day. Multiple factors pertain to this, and while testing can often be a hassle for both teachers and students, the time in which school starts is another element to be looked at. Without it, it can lead to serious health concerns and makes the body exhausted, which prevents the body from having the energy to complete daily tasks. Certain sleep is required for specific age groups, and it has been shown that teens need the most sleep out of any other age group. Studies recommend that teenagers get an average of 8-10 hours of sleep each night, which a majority of them not achieving that amount. Instead, they often succeed in only obtaining around 6-7 hours of sleep each night, at the very best. Teens who don’t get the required sleep often suffer from physical and/or mental health problems. Additionally, severe sleep disruption can lead to reduced concentration, attention, and memory capabilities. There are others that argue that a way to avoid this issue is having teens lessen the amount of activities that they partake in afterschool, but students need some extra curriculars for their certain colleges they want to apply for or they need a job to help their
