For a long time, humans have been making scientific and technological inventions and discoveries that changed ways of living. Some of these inventions have been made in the 19th and 20th centuries. Their objectives were mostly to make lives easier, and help people fulfil their needs. However, most of these inventions have not been used the way they were supposed to. Many of these inventions were made during World War I and World War II, mostly to help reinforce the armies.
The First World War took place from 1914 to 1918. It was a very dark period in history, and it also brought many advances in chemistry and technology that made it even more tragic. In 1914, because massed rifle fire was being reinforced with machine guns, before attackers could get to the other side of no-man’s-land, they were “thrown down by the thousands”. However, a solution was presented, but as an automobile. In 1915, the first tank (British Mark I) was designed, and was first used in September 1916. The radar allowed nations to track incoming air attacks, guided the bombers to their targets and directed anti-aircraft guns toward the airplanes. The massive research and development requirements of the war included developing an atomic bomb. It was the deepest military development of the war, and had a great impact on the scientific community. Its invention meant that a single aircraft could carry such a powerful weapon it could burn down entire cities. It was used on December 7th 1941 by japan against the United States, and in August 1945, two atomic bombs were employed by the United States against the Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which ended the war (in September
