Charles Dickens said “I never could have done what I have done without the habits of punctuality, order, and diligence, without the determination to concentrate myself on one subject at a time”. Self-assessment of ones strengths and weakness is a great strategy to accomplish my Masters of English. The main areas of self-assessment are self-efficacy, time-management, academic preparation, and intrinsic motivation. When I was a child, I always wanted to have a PhD in Literature to full analysis my favorite hobby of reading. I decided this when I was reading Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” and Herman Melville “Moby-Dick or The Whale”. The motivation that keeps driving is to prove to myself that I can accomplish my dreams, even though others think that I am insane. The drive for me getting five PhDs and learning forever is something I want to do. When I was a little boy I wanted to know everything about natural science, literature, language, and psychology. Since I started reading novels in both English and Spanish, which motivated me to study literature and language. Then growing up with Bill Nye I wanted to study natural science and psychology. I was very intrigue in all of those areas and so the way to keep my goals direct ways by creating a dream board. I have all my dreams on the board of what I want to accomplish. I wake up and see that board every day to have a visual aid of my dreams. I take off the goals I have accomplish and keep the ones that I still need. The only left are just four which is getting my first PhD, getting more PhD, finding love, and going to Europe. These are still goal I need to accomplish and will accomplish in the future. Seen my goals is a great motivation to keep going forwards. Moreover, my habits in reading, and writing will further my Masters. My habits of reading will assist me to read in greater of speeds and analyze the literature in text. The reading will assist me to for my coming research in all the areas of fields I want focus on. I will be needing to read for the rest of my life and writing to receive all the PhDs that I want. My goal is my greatest motivation to become the best educator and to learn about all my
