Purpose: The purpose of the senior information night presentation is to provide parents/guardians and seniors and juniors with important information to support their postsecondary goals. What do you want students to learn? Goal One: Students and parents/guardians will find the information helpful for college and career planning in order for students and parents/guardians to be able to more effectively plan for their and their student’s college and career readiness. Goal Two: Students and parents/guardians will have a greater understanding of senior events and expectations in order to have a fulfilling and academically successful year. What difficulties do you expect to experience in this area? How do you plan to differentiate and accommodate for them? Some parents/guardians and students may want more in-depth information. Since the presentation is to provide a general overview of college/career readiness, events, and expectations for the senior year, I will also provide resources and how to locate more in-depth information so that students and parents/guardians can access the information or contact me individually to gain more information specific to their individual needs.
