Some parents think games like Grand Theft Auto are violent for kids because it gives kids bad ideas. Some parents still buy the games for their kids even though there's an age restriction. Violent video games don't make people more violent in real life because there is no proof of people killing people over a video game, no one has shot up a school because of a video game, and parents are responsible for their child.
While there are some extremely violent video games available, these games have ratings keeping them from falling in the hands of many young children. Although many will argue that video games should be removed or more heavily monitored, they are not the main cause of violence in adolescents, and they can benefit children by offering them strategic thinking skills, learning opportunities, and stress relief.
In this generation it seems as if America’s youth is to blame for being violent. People would argue that games promote gun violence and a hostile lifestyle.
