His mother, Joyce Dahmer, suffered from severe depression and attempted suicide.

He put on Police SWAT gear, loaded up his guns, and walked back toward the theater. Before he entered he threw a canister of tear gas into the audience. This confused and shocked everyone in theater nine because many people thought it was a promotional stunt for the movie. “After both canisters explode, witnesses say he started shooting, first at the ceiling first and then at the crowd.”
